EW’S MUST SEE SUMMER MOVIES
So…now that the summer film season has kicked off in high gear (all ready), EW has compiled a list of movies that they think you should catch during the hot steamy months.
They include: INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL (PREMIERING MAY 22), GET SMART (JUNE 20), WANTED (JUNE 27) and THE DARK KNIGHT (JULY 18).

this was a geek guide to summer films. yet i wasn’t asked for my insights…shame on you entertainment weekly…
supposedly a ‘geek’ guide that’s pretty much the same as most others from a big media outlet ‘must see’ summer stuff…
but ew has put ‘rocker’ on my radar. and unlike the other stuff listed/that does seem to have some of geek origin point/some slant putting outside the usual blockbuster fare…
where are the loser’s at ???

Well, if I ruled the world, EW would consult you on everything for an enormous fee, glim. DAILY.
I know the actual title of their article makes a reference to “geeks”. I also know that, for some people, being referred to as a “geek” is a badge of honour. For them, it’s an upscale way of acknowledging that they’re ultimate aficionados of whatever it is that they love – whether that be music, film or what have you.
But, I personally find the term “geek” highly insulting. My readers are NOT geeks. They’re highly sophisticated connoisseurs of culture (aren’t y’all???) and those sorts of labels would never be applied to them successfully in this lifetime.
Plus, this is my site and I make the rules here. This is it. I didn’t want to have that title stick so I made up another one.
Yes, I am aware that EW’S list is quite similar to a lot of other ones we’ve seen. But it’s difficult to find an alternative list anywhere.
I don’t consider you a geek or a loser, my darling. Have some confidence and take pride in the fact that you’re unusual and very special. You come up with some really challenging and fascinating comments and articles. Give yourself some credit.
