LONDON FILM FESTIVAL PREMIERES NEW BOND FILM
The world premiere of the new JAMES BOND adventure will be held at the LONDON FILM FESTIVAL on OCTOBER 29 for an invitation only crowd, including members of the royal family.
On the same evening QUANTUM OF SOLACE will have a public screening for a paying audience at the ODEON WEST cinema in London.
It’s the very first time in its 52 year history that a new BOND movie has been featured in the lineup. But there’s far more to the LONDON FILM FESTIVAL – running OCTOBER 15 to 30 – than the QUANTUM OF SOLACE exclusive.
The fest kicks off with the world premiere of RON HOWARD’S FROST/NIXON. It’s just one of a number of titles to take their inspiration from real life figures. OLIVER STONE’S biopic of George W. Bush, W, will have its European debut on OCTOBER 23.
The festival also includes: CHE, STEVEN SODERBERGH’S two part portrait of CHE GUEVERA and GONZO, a documentary about the late HUNTER S. THOMPSON from director ALEX GIBNEY.
The lineup also possesses the strongest roster of British titles in more than a decade, among them new offerings from MICHAEL WINTERBOTTOM (GENOVA) and RICHARD EYRE (THE OTHER MAN).
DANNY BOYLE’S SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE will be the closing feature.
